This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application Covify handles data, permissions, and third-party integrations in accordance with Google Play Store policies and international data protection laws.

1. Information Collection and Use

Covify is designed as a privacy-first application. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, phone number, physical address, or email address on our servers.

• Local Data Storage: Your application preferences, favorited cover arts, and daily download counter are stored exclusively on your device's local storage (LocalStorage / Device Cache).
• No User Account Required: You can use all core features of the app without creating an account or providing credentials.

2. Device Permissions and Media Storage

To deliver core features such as saving high-resolution album covers to your device gallery or choosing custom backgrounds, Covify utilizes Android standard MediaStore API and the System Photo Picker in compliance with Google Play's Photo and Video Permissions policy.

• Saving Images (Scoped Storage): High-resolution album covers are saved directly to public media directories using standard Android MediaStore.Images without requiring broad media reading permissions on Android 10+ (API 29+).
• Photo Selection: Any image selection uses the native Android System Photo Picker (or framework FilePicker), ensuring Covify never accesses or reads your private photo library without explicit user interaction.
• INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required to fetch high-resolution playlist covers, stream background music, verify subscription status via RevenueCat, and serve Google AdMob advertisements.

3. Third-Party Services and Advertising

Covify integrates trusted third-party SDKs to provide advertisements and process optional in-app purchases:

• Google AdMob: Serves rewarded video ads and banner ads in the free version of the app. Google AdMob may collect anonymous device identifiers (such as Google Advertising ID), network information, and usage metrics for ad personalization and fraud prevention. • Google Play Billing & RevenueCat: Handles optional Premium subscription purchases safely. All payment transactions are processed directly by Google Play Store. Covify does not receive, view, or store your credit card or financial details.

4. Data Security

Because your saved items and application settings reside entirely on your local device storage, your data remains secured under your device's operating system security model.

5. Children's Privacy

Covify is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
